It varies widely depending on your vision, overall budget, venue, and choice of DIY vs custom vs a little of both

can you give us a bit more info to work with? For instance I spent roughly $1,500 on decor but a friend is spending literally $10k on decor.

We're not having many decorations and luckily for us our venue is supplying most of the things for us at no charge (though I'm sure it's built into the cost somehow). Or weddings budget is about 10k but that includes everything except my rings. Out of that we probably spent $500 on decorations.

Not much. It’s only ONE day. Why go broke when there will still be bills to be paid at the end of the month?

For us, we've spent roughly $150 on decorations. Definitely price compare and find the best deals!

I did a one stop shop for decor(flowers and candles), centerpieces, furniture rental and curtains for $12,000. I’m also in Miami where prices can be much higher than other places

I am making my own. I don’t see the point in spending all this money to rent most of it and for a quick 7 hrs of my life. Doing it myself has saved me thousands, looks fantastic, and no one else will have my decor bc I made it. Literally it makes your wedding unique! This is just my opinion and how I see things. Of course, if you want to fork over thousands to leave it up to someone else, by all means go for it. It is your day, a once in a lifetime event, and so you do what you want!

I enjoy DIY so our decor will be a mixture and we will spend less than $400 on it.
