Wedding brain

Future Mrs. Danger, on September 18, 2019 at 9:02 PM Posted in Community Conversations 1 26
Anyone else suffering from it?
I have been a scattered mess these last two weeks. Forgetting, dropping and losing stuff.
I almost missed a major deadline at work and twice forgot to turn off the stove sending a couple of boiled eggs straight for the ceiling.
45 more days!!

Ha! The fog is just starting to lift, but I definitely was experiencing wedding brain. It was to the point where I would forget if office doors coming into the building were push or pull. Lol! I’ve worked in that building for over 5 yrs. I basically walked around my office w/ a post it note in my pocket and pen in my hair.

The struggle is real! I had major wedding brain all summer and only wanted to do wedding things. It distracted me from my school work so now I am in h*** week trying to finish it all up 🤣

My wedding brain is causing me to mess up dates. I was in a meeting at the office and practically accused someone I work with of not doing her job because my wedding brain thought the October deadline had passed!!!! Earlier this week I was discussing an event I am attending and stated it was in a couple of weeks, then I realized it is THIS FRIDAY! I'm fried!

Definitely, I can’t count how many times I burnt my hand on the ovens or knicked my finger because I’ve been so zoned out at work. I can’t remember anything now so taking inventory majorly sucks. I have to write it on my phone or I’ll forget when I leave the room. It’s bridal brain and exhaustion!

100% yes! I am 16 days out and my brain has reached full capacity. Everyone is coming to me for every little thing so my phone rings all day long which is distracting so I'm forgetting things left and right. I can't keep track of what is going on around me anymore Smiley xd I'm glad I took the week before the wedding off, it may have saved my job haha

You mean it gets worse?! I’m already having trouble at work and I’m still 50 days out! I’ve been forgetting house stuff too. Oy. This CANNOT get worse.

Hahaha...yes I get it. I am taking off a few days before, as well.

I walk around with a composition book I stole from my 12 year old and just write everything down.

I try not to do anything wedding related at work, unless its my lunch hour. If I start doing wedding stuff I am distracted all day.

I can so relate.. wedding brain hit me hard the week before the wedding, especially at work. Lucky for me, everyone just gave me a hard time about it and kept saying things like "well it's not like you don't have anything else going on right now."

Oh it’s so real! I mailed something back to Amazon last week just to discover that I forgot to put it back in the box and mailed an empty box back. 🤦🏼‍♀️

We are 60+ days out...I have major wedding brain! I almost got out of the car & left it running...twice! I have major C.R.S. & keep repeating myself & keep asking for clarity on everything; cant think about anything but wedding & finding it a little difficult to make quick should be easy decisions! It's real! It's crazy! Its exciting! I'm so ready but yet not so much!

Oh my gosh, I really had "Wedding Brain-fog"! Of course, there are some that would say I have fog in my brain more than just due to wedding planning! Well, anyway, I was planning my whole wedding mostly by myself because my "fiance" (now my wonderful husband!) was so busy with his work and all the home-owner tasks that seem to pop up at just the wrong time! I was constantly thinking of all the things that I still had to do to prepare for the wedding, and didn't go to certain events because of the planning process. I was constantly writing and re-writing things in my calendar on my phone---and making list after list of things to do. I had lists all over the place--then I'd forget where I put them! LOL! I begged off on several invitations so that I could try to complete tasks that had to do with the wedding---ie: finishing my gown, making cakes and icing, etc. It all turned out beautiful in the end, even though I didn't get a few things done that I'd wanted to, like getting the scuffs out of my cowgirl boots. Eh, well that's the way the cookie crumbles. Fast forward to a few days after the wedding, on our honeymoon, no less.......I had a DREAM that I was still trying to find stuff that I'd been looking around for before the wedding---and we'd already been married for a few days! Duh! Wedding Brain still at work, but it's slowly clearing up there in the ol' head, finally!

I've definitely been there. Still sort of going through it. I was almost late to work today. Also losing my mind thinking I misplaced something but ended up being right in my face or I had just forgot to pick it up. I'm pretty absent minded sometimes as it is but it's gotten a little worse lol.
