Wedding Bra

Brittany, on September 24, 2022 at 1:24 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12

I just purchased my dress last weekend. I already had a corset bra from my brother in law's wedding a few years ago when I was a bridesmaid. The back is too high. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good alternative bra? I did try the dress on with no bra, and it would be possible, but I felt my figure was more flattering with the boning in the bra.

There probably will be some simple options that others will provide. But there also is the possibility of adding boning. Ava's Bridal Couture helps show seamstresses how to add boning panels.

That looks like the same dress as my friend wore. She had a full corset, no bra

Like she just wore a stomach corset and cups in the dress?

You could have a corset added to the dress, so no bra would be needed. You could also use a low back bra or a backless option (such as misses kisses, or boob tape).

I would suggest boob tape but we cant see the front of the dress to even see if that's a option.

Can they puts cups in the dress? That’s what they did with mine. I needed a bit more support and could not go bra less.

I would talk with a seamstress and get ideas. There is no way you're the first to ask the question! That dress looks amazing on you, even from the back!

Goodlines boob tape is your best bet. It’s much more supportive than sewn in cups.

This may be TMI but I'm a DD, do you think it would work?

How about the store adds more lace on the back til it reaches the corset line and camouflages the hard line of the corset like an illusion. Or keep the sheer part and use lace to hide corset line just at the top

First I want to thank everyone for the comments! This first picture is the dress with the bra on, so I have the boning on the stomach. The second one is without a bra, I feel the stomach needs more structure. Several people gave mentioned Boob Tape, I am a DD would that work? I've never tried it before. Maybe it's just because the dress was big in parts but I never thought of asking them to put a corset into the dress so thanks for the suggestion.
