Wedding bands on Etsy??

Futuremrsc, on January 23, 2017 at 12:32 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 30

Does anyone have any personal experience buying wedding bands off Etsy? I have a beautiful engagement ring but wanted to get a more affordable band, I found some beautiful bands that are Sterling silver, rose gold plated, with CZ on Etsy with great reviews.. So just wanted to hear your thoughts on it!

I actually got my engagement ring from Etsy. It's more beautiful than the photos. So I would definitely trust the woman who made my ring to make my band. I would just look for lots of great reviews and make sure you filter items that are coming from the US. My ring designer is Lamore, if you want to see her prices. I think a band is about $650, give or take. Good luck!

We got out bands from Etsy, but we went unique over cheap since the engaement ring cost $30. The shop was Jewelry by Johan, and they fit absolutely perfectly!

We got FH's wedding band from Stag Head Designs on Etsy. We love it. It's beautiful. But it does take awhile to come in, and the communication is not the greatest.

I ordered FH's wedding band from Etsy. It was $280 for 14k 5mm comfort fit. He loves it and I cannot wait to see it on his finger in June.

Both my engagement ring and wedding band came from etsy. Both are yellow gold and from antique stores that have shops on etsy. If you're okay with an aged band, that could be an option.

@cassie no I haven't at all! the sellers are really nice from what I and FH have encountered. the lady he got my engagement ring from actually closed her shop but she still responded when we emailed her about a question a little while after.. I ordered his off amazon and it was like $22 for a $300 ring.

I would strongly caution you away from cut rate materials like sterling silver and gold plate. You don't have to spend a mint, but cheapie metals aren't going to hold up to years of wear. You can find plenty of lovely, simple wedding bands made from quality materials for under $150.

Eta: In total I paid $50 but that's because I had to exchange. I initially ordered one 2 mm thick but in reality needed 3 mm so the band didn't disappear behind the engagement ring. Without the exchange my ring would have been $40. Original post: I got mine from this store and loved the experience. I wanted something incredibly simple since my engagement ring will continue to be the star. I'm also allergic to most jewelry because of nickle and couldn't justify spending a lot on a platinum band for a simple design. White cobalt it is! http://etsy.me/2iXMxex

Just definitely read lots and lots of reviews. There was one girl on here who chronicled her entire nightmare with her Etsy ring and it was horrible.

@Cassie My engagement ring came from DiamondSoulShop and my band came from Maejean Vintage. It's not the clearest picture, but you can see how well they go together.
