Wedding band?

Colon44, on November 23, 2020 at 4:08 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12

I know traditionally most brides add a band or two to their engagement ring after getting married but I just wanted to see if anyone prefers their engagement ring solo? I don't really like chunky rings, and although I've seen a few bands that look good with my ring, I just can't see myself wearing it all the time.

I know of a few people who only wear their engagement ring instead of doing multiple rings! Others choose to do just a wedding band and not wear their engagement ring. There aren't any rules - if you prefer to only wear your engagement ring after getting married, I say go for it!

I prefer my wedding ring solo! i stopped wearing my engagement ring after i got my wedding ring because it was clunky. if you want to only have your engagement ring, that's ok too, i've seen plenty of brides on here do the same

I prefer only my engagement ring for a couple reasons 😊 I also dislike chunky rings/bands and I would never want to undermine my ring because it is breathtaking and customized. 🤍

I've seen many people on this site discuss doing it. I personally end up wearing my wedding band all the time and only wearing my engagement ring on occasion. Personally, I think they symbolize different things. The wedding band is what you wear to symbolize the marriage and the engagement ring symbolizes the promise of marriage. Again, that's my personal take on it. I also find that the engagement ring isn't always practical, especially when I have to put on gloves at work (hospital setting), so it's easier for me to just have the wedding band since that doesn't catch on things.

I wear both. I like the thicker look ha ha. My band does not even match my engagement ring as we won two free bands but I wear both because both were given to me by my husband but you gotta do what works for you. Some women do not even wear a ring or wear the sports wedding bands. Each person is different.

I have a plain gold band paired with me custom engagement ring. It’s easy to wear every day but is barely noticeable.

My engagement/wedding ring is a set of 3. I plan on getting them soldered before the wedding. You do what works best for you!

I fully expected to wear both my engagement and wedding rings together but after about a month they just felt so bulky and tight together on my finger. Now I wear my wedding band daily and my engagement ring added on special occasions. I think if you want to just wear your engagement ring and not a wedding band then go for it! It's your finger.

Like others have said, it really is personal preference and I also believe it depends on your rings. Both my E-ring and band are very thin. I had them soldered together and they still are not chunky. I also have a huge preference for soldering together because I did not like how they would spin separately and not stay lined up. Again, this is just personal preference and there is no right or wrong way to wear your rings.

Plenty of people wear their Ering solo after the wedding!

If there are bands that you think look nice with your ring, try seeing if they come in a smaller size (1.5mm, 1mm). Those bands are very dainty and doesn't look chunky when paired with your Ering!

I have an engagement ring and 2 wedding bands. I wear them all together. It took awhile to get used to them but I love them together.

I planned to just wear my engagement ring solo! No need to buy extra rings when I'm not going to like them or wear them often enough
