Wedding band vs anniversary band

I got an anniversary band as my wedding band without knowing it was an anniversary band. What’s the difference between the 2 and has anyone ever done this? I’m afraid it’s of less quality than an a wedding band.

It literally doesn’t matter what the jewelry store calls it. There’s no criteria that makes a piece of jewelry an engagement ring, wedding ring, anniversary ring, etc.

I worked in a high-end jewelry store for 10 years, there is no difference between a wedding band and an anniversary band, in terms of function.

A wedding band might be more of a band that exactly matches up to your engagement ring, molded to match the curves, "completes the look" of your engagement ring.

An anniversary band could match up to your engagement ring or could be a straight band that does not match up to your engagement ring. Think of the "stacked" look.

I wouldn't worry too much over the name, if you like it and like the way it looks against your engagement ring, then it's the right band for you - no matter the name.

As long as you love the ring you chose, I don't think it matters what it was labeled as! Make it your own

Haha I actually clicked on the anniversary bands this morning because I was curious to know what they were. I was expecting huge diamond rings but instead found “wedding” bands to my amazement! I thought you got a bigger diamond for being married longer. Jokes on me!😂😅🤣
