Wedding Band - saving money

Hi, I’m getting married in July of 2022 (8 months away)
I was walking around my local mall the other day and saw a chain jewelry store was closing and had 50% off wedding bands. Originally I had a budget for $1500 for my wedding band, which is enough for a simple pave or 1/2 carat band. As I was browsing the stores sale items, I saw a 1 carat band which would be $1400 with the discount. I later went back with my fiancé so that he could see the amazing deal and see the ring for himself.
But, My fiancé was thinking we would get our wedding bands together from the same place he got my engagement ring. Should I forego this amazing steal so that we can go ring shopping together?
