Wedding Band- bigger or smaller?

Elana, on April 3, 2020 at 2:54 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 18
Hi Ladies,
My e-ring band is pretty thin, and I am looking for a wedding band that does not overpower my e-ring. But can hold its own in the event I don’t wear my e-ring. Thoughts? On my pinky because I jammed my ring finger Smiley sad

I feel like this band overshadows your engagement ring. I personally would go with one that's the same width as your e-ring.

I’d go a smidge thinner, so it’s a bit more complementary of your engagement ring.

It’s very pretty but I would go with something a bit thinner to match your E-ring.

Love it but I would go a bit smaller so it isn’t overpowering — you could even have two thin thins bands !! That’s what I am going to do because we are getting married on my birthday so we decided to get two bands

I have that same problem my band is 11mm wide and my ER is pretty thin so I don’t plan on wearing them together expect on special occasions. But I wanted my wedding band to be similar to FH. This is his and mine.Wedding Band- bigger or smaller? 2

Like many others have said I would go with something the same width as your engagement ring.

Down the line I plan on getting a third band, a family ring, to place on the other side of the engagement ring. I also like the look of stackable bands.

Thanks Caytlyn! But won’t it look silly if I just wear it by itself?

I would look for one just a tiny bit thinner. Or maybe that width but not so many diamonds, tinier ones set into band?

If that is the one you have your heart set on and like the way it looks- go for it. Ultimately it is YOUR hand that is going to be wearing it.....
Or have that one as the anniversary band? Maybe a if I don’t wear the engagement ring I wear this one & get a small simple band for the wedding band?

My wedding band is a bit thicker than my engagement ring. I initially wanted them to be identical but it’s not as bad as I thought it’d look. They aren’t too far off so it doesn’t look overpowering and it’s thick enough to stand alone without looking super thin and dainty.Wedding Band- bigger or smaller? 5

Beautiful ring; I would go with one that has the same type of stone and the same size band.

Thank you so much 🥰 I need to find a matching band the is the same design and can sit below my center stone, since it’s set low to the band.

Thank you Jennifer! I love the idea of having a thinner wedding band and eventually getting a thicker anniversary band! Do you wear your anniversary band with your e-ring or on the right hand? Definitely don’t want to overpower my e-ring!

Great discussion, I never thought of wearing my rings apart. I love your rings! If you want to balance them out, get another thin band, or another wider band to match your e ring.
