Wedding attire

My wedding party is very small which only consists of the best man and matron of honor. My colors are navy blue and pink and therefore for the best men he’s wearing a navy blue tux and pink tie. My big question is should my father and my father-in-law wear the same color tax and tie has the best man?

My father really wants to wear a black tux because it’s classic and very formal. I was having both fathers in the black tuxes and pink ties. I know they don’t have to wear the same color as the best man but I want it to look cohesive and pictures. what should I do?Amanda A.

They don't have to match exactly since they're not groomsmen. I think if they both have pink ties, that could coordinate well enough. There are other things they could do too, like wearing a light blue shirt or a pink pocket square to give them a small piece of your colors without everyone looking too matchy. You can make black tuxes work with pretty much anything.

They don’t have to match but they should be the same formality. The florist will provide boutonnières for all the VIP men (groom, best man, both dads).

My daughter also had a navy/pink wedding. My husband wore a gray suit with a pink floral navy tie. I think a black tux would look great!Wedding attire 1

I would agree with Jasmine ~ "too matchy match" wouldn't be good for ME (you of course need to do YOU for your wedding)... For me I would think if both "dad's" had the same or similar tux/suite even if their ties didn't "match" each other it would be fine. Maybe your dad wear a pink (different from the Best Man) and his dad wear the navy. You didn't mention what your groom is wearing?? I would think you would want the dad's in something different from the Best Man while still looking like they belong.

I have a weird thing about navy and black being put together but might be okay depending on the shade of navy or if they aren't photo'd right next to each other? That's just me though!
