Wedding alterations

I would take the dress to a seamstress and see what they suggest! They may be able to let it out a bit, or they might know of another way around the problem through alterations. They should be able to give you a cost estimate for the alterations too.

I have the SAME EXACT problem. I just had my alterations appointment yesterday, and she will be changing the zip-up back to a corset back instead. It will solve the problem, it just isn't the look I wanted and it's too late to find another dress. A seamstress should be able to do the same thing for you - I think it would actually complement this style dress very well!

Talk with your seamstress- she’ll be able to figure out the best solution.

Not what I had wanted or pictured, but on my wedding day (8 days ago - lol), I got a LOT of compliments on my dress — especially the back. Who knew?!? A good seamstress can turn something that you didn’t want into one of the unexpected highlights of your dress. You might just be pleasantly surprised. Hang in there!!
