Wedding after covid

Hi everyone!

My husband and I had a destination wedding planned for May 2nd of this year. Due to COVID-19, we canceled the destination wedding we had planned for 2 years and choose to have a small intimate ceremony on that day with immediate family. We decided to do a vow renewal locally (I guess you can call it that) on May 1, 2021 to celebrate our marriage with family and friends.. my questions is, what should our invitations say? Should they be traditional invitations or something different? I’ve seen cute ones that say “we still do” or “we do again” I am just unsure for this situation.

You could stick with what you mentioned, or something like “___ and ___ were married in a private ceremony on ___. Please join us for a celebration of marriage/vow renewal on ___”

That’s cute! I’ve seen “I Do, Take Two” I like that but all the invitations look like a movie theme.

What you put on your invitations is all up to you, you want it to speak to the personality of you and your spouse-to-be. There are no general rules that you should follow, not that there would be, since the pandemic is like nothing we've experienced before. Some of the ideas in this thread are pretty cool, and I especially liked the “The Sequel” concept. That seems like a fun way to address an unfun issue. If you are struggling with design ideas, we ordered our invitations from MagnetStreet because they have so many styles and you can customize whichever designs jump out at you as much as you need: https://www.magnetstreet.com/wedding-invitations

If you are still unsure about what to put on your invitations, then just go with something simple and/or traditional. You really can't go wrong there.
