Wedding Activities

What are some of your favorite wedding activities to entertain your guests? We are going to do the Shoe Game, but I'm not really interested in the Garter/Bouquet Toss. But I want to do games and such to get our guest involved. So what are some of your favorite wedding activities?

I wish I knew! I'd love a little more interactive thing to do but it looks like we'll strapped for time.

I think we're going to have a dance to get couples out on the dance floor and have them sit down as the length of them being together is announced. For instance, keep dancing if you've been together for three years ... etc.

I want to do a photo I Spy, with cards that have a list of photos for guests to look for that they can share with us later.

We are also having our reception outside, and there is some grassy areas, and I wanted to have yard games (cornhole, giant jenga, etc.) for guests to play if they didn't want to dance.

And a fire pit for smores!

I Love this!!! I also am thinking about hiding rings around the venue and whoever finds the most rings at the end of the night gets a prize!

Fiancé and I went to a wedding last weekend where they played bride and groom trivia as a way to determine who got to go to the buffet first, and ironically we were planning to do the same thing! Although we may end up doing it at a different time depending on how our timeline goes and have it be for like a prize or something instead. We’re big trivia fans so it’ll be really special for us!

We're having a photobooth during the ceremony that should keep people entertained since they get to keep the photo strips. We'll also be having a lot of music and dancing!

As above, drinking, dancing, eating. And talking with all kinds of people. I find it annoying to be asked to play a game, which you can do at 10 non-wedding parties a year if you want to. And equally annoying is to seek out someone who asked you to dance earlier, or someone you really want to talk to, or introduce to your SO, and either they are tied up for 30 minutes, or you cannot get together without walking through a game, so you leave, or wait forever . Invite friends over and play games some other night.
