Hi Brides,

I’m booking the hotel we are staying in for the night before the wedding and need advice. Im having my bridal party and fiancé’s bridal party stay at the hotel with us the night before because it lowers the chance of us being late on the wedding day and I remember my sisters wedding, how everyone coming from different locations made us all late!
My question is, should I book for my fiancé And I to stay at the same hotel and maybe different floors to make things easier on the videographer/photographer? If yes, should I book for us to stay at the same hotel as our guests? The hotel I booked for our guests is fairly cheap and fairly nice. The hotel I was looking at is not as cheap but would be better for pictures!

I would say getting ready in a different spot than the guests may be better, that way no one accidentally sees you if they're running late. If your wedding party is all staying together then you could always get ready in the room you two share and he can go to his best man's or other groomsman's room. I think someone posted recently asking how to make their plain hotel room look nicer for pictures and had some great ideas.

To make it convienent, I would say book the same hotel for everyone.

I would stay in the same hotel as your wedding party that way everybody’s in the same spot. The forum Alyssa is talking about is a bride wanted to soften up her room so it doesn’t look like a typical hotel room. Have a tote that has pics of you & your fiancé, robes, throw blanket, flowers etc. Stage then around the room to make it homier.

I would stay at the same hotel as the rest of your guests and the wedding party. That being said, I think it would also depend on the costs. If the bridesmaids and groomsmen are paying for their own hotel rooms (which they usually do), then it wouldn't be fair to make them stay in a different and more expensive hotel just for the sake of nice photos.
