Are there any ladies not having a reception, just the ceremony and photography?

Things just started getting to be too expensive and I would rather put that money towards my honeymoon. The beach ceremony is what’s most important to me honestly so we are just going to dinner afterwards.

How many people are you planning on having? If you take everyone out for dinner afterwards, thats technically a reception, which is totally fine and can make sense, budget-wise.

You do need to host your guests in some way for coming to the ceremony.
A lot of people do cake-and-punch receptions to cut down on time and money. However, if you do a dinner, all your ceremony guests should be invited.

We're having a small ceremony(and photography)at a beautiful park in Savannah and just going to dinner afterwards. We're having no more than 20 people if that.

Yeah it fits our budget better. We are only having 21 guests excluding the wedding party. I wanted to have a reception but it just got so expensive!

Yes we were gonna do dinner with everyone. I’ve never heard of cake and punch reception. Hmm I’ll have to think about that.
