Wearing Off White Patterns to Another Wedding

Wearing Off White Patterns to Another Wedding 1
Any thoughts on wearing a cream patterned dress to someone else’s wedding? To give you context, it is a very casual wedding in a barn setting in July. This dress has a creamy/grey sheer overlay on top of a white liner. I wouldn’t want to offend another bride by wearing this! It wouldn’t bother me as bride since it isn’t just a straight up white dress. Thanks for any input! 😊

Ivory/cream and whatever other name they use are all in the white family and should not be worn.

I would not consider that to be an ivory because the floral pattern is dominant. You can absolutely wear it to a wedding.

That top has so much color and pattern. You’re fine. It does not look like a wedding dress in any way.

This is a floral dress with a hint of ivory. No one would ever mistake this for a wedding dress, so I think you're fine.

That's a floral, not a white dress. You'd be completely appropriate at my wedding, and I'm thinking about posting children with super-soakers full of red kool-aid at my venue just in case Smiley winking

That is fine. There is nothing wrong with wearing white at a wedding. Just not something all white, that looks bridal ( style, cut, fabric.)

So, what, instead of a guest in all white, you would have guests looking like Aunt Flo dropped in for a visit, or a horror show? Or someone in the bride's friend and family group is deranged? If someone else comes in bridal looking white, I would think the bride and her family would show who they are by their classy behavior. Simply pay no attention at all to this wannabe bride, and let everyone else snicker and smirk at them all night.

I'm sure she was joking . . . as indicated by the smirking emoji.

That dress is adorable and perfectly appropriate for a wedding.
