My fiance and I got engaged in December 2016. Then we drove across the East coast looking for our dream beach for the wedding. We found it in Delaware. Then he applied for a job and got it. We we separated from April to July. Then we moved across the country from Texas to Maryland. Now we have jobs and are looking for a home too. We decided our wedding date for 7/3/2020. Is that too soon to plan? We want small and in Bethany beach, De. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Congrats on your date. I would say it is time if you are doing something intimate. I would book a venue and photographer now. How many people do you plan to invite and have you set a budget?

We have less than 10 people. We have not finalized a budget, but want a small beach wedding with Arch and chairs. Our friend is marrying us.

Oh....yea you can do that within 5 months for sure. Look up officiants in your area that set all that up for you. I live in Tampa Bay and there are many officiant companies or wedding planners that do beach weddings that are affordable. Then you can just take your guests to a restaurant afterwards.

With such a small group, you can even look at nice venues (like resorts) and ask if they have elopement or private wedding packages (usually Sun or Mon-Thur). Usually very reasonably priced and might include an officiant, bouquet, photographer for 1-2 hours on property.

You’re welcome! Those packages will really help you put together a wedding quickly since the venue is pulling those items/vendors together for you.
