We had to change our wedding date!!

Stefanie, on March 29, 2020 at 9:33 PM Posted in Planning 0 6
Our wedding was scheduled to be on April 16. We changed the date to July 18 - which happens to be my birthday. 😂😂😂 My fiance and I had time scheduled off during that time, so the dated worked perfectly.

We are going to get our money back from the venue as we decided to actually have the wedding at a private residence.
The only thing I am worried about is my dress. It has long sleeves and it gets hot here in July.

Do you think you could alter your gown to make it shorter sleeve

Your dress is beautiful. If you feel comfortable altering it then take it in, they should be able to help you with the design. I personally would leave it as is. From the looks of it, the sleeves look fairly thin so I think you should be fine. Idk if your ceremony and reception are both outside but maybe there could be misters set up or a tent gazebo. Just some thoughts 😊

I think you could easily alter that dress to make it sleeveless or with short sleeves.

Thank you. I love the sleeves on it. Youre probably right - the sleeves are thin and it will probably breathe well. Our wedding won't be until the evening anyway.

Wow, your dress perfectly suits you! I could see you taking the sleeves off and having someone turn them into a bolero that you could wear during the ceremony and then take off if you get hot after. It just depends if you run hot or not. For me, on my wedding day I was warm the whole day from all of the emotions I was feeling and having all eyes on me so I knew I needed to have no sleeves.
