We changed our wedding date...

Hi, ladies...


After a lot of consideration, my fiancé and I decided to move our wedding date up! The main 2 reasons behind this decision are:1. Since I’ve lived in California, the wildfire seasons can be brutal and a lot of the super hot heat tends to happen towards the later part of the summer which can lead to fires, etc. Santa Cruz never reaches highs beyond 80-90 degrees on most days, but it’s the surrounding areas that I am concerned about. By going with a June date instead, the summer will have just begun and the risk of fires around that time should hopefully be a lot lower.2. My fiancé and I want an adult-only wedding so by going with this June date, a lot of schools will be out for summer and those with children will not have to worry so much about leaving their kids behind when school isn’t a factor. I didn’t even think about this when selecting my original date!
All in all, I feel a strong sense of relief and happiness because I think having the wedding during the summer when Santa Cruz is really “in action” will really add to the setting, destination, etc.
