We already got married but didn’t have a wedding

Tanisha, on May 5, 2018 at 11:10 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 13
We got Married before the baby was born but I didn’t get to have my dream wedding because we weren’t financially ready at the time but now we are, is it okay to still have the wedding I’ve always wanted?

Absolutely. It would just be called a vow renewal at this point.

Of course it is. Like a previous person stated it's a vow renewal at this point but still a wonderful celebration of your marriage with family and friends. Have fun!

Definitely!! My cousin did this. They didn't have their actual wedding until almost a year later

Yes you can, I’m doing the same thing. The difference is your ceremony wording would be a bit different and you wouldn’t exchange rings.

You did have your wedding when you got married, it just wasn't the fancy party you wanted.

There's no problem throwing a big vow renewal or celebration of marriage after getting married, as long as your guests know it isn't actually your wedding and that your married already.

It sure is, just call it a celebration of marriage.

Of course! Just instead of legally getting married you’d just renew your vows

Exactly. All weddings are "real" weddings.
