Ways to make the reception Fun! Ideas?

I had glow sticks at mine they used on the dance floor.

Alcohol and DJ are the biggest party starters. Everything else is just extra. No one is going to have any less fun because they didn’t have glow sticks or “sick” lights, but they’re a nice bonus.

My friend's wedding a week after mine, they had a DJ / dance floor, photo booth, and alcohol. lol Everyone had fun there too

I don't think you need to worry too much about planning a bunch of entertainment, as long as you have good food, drinks, and music you should be okay.

I honestly feel the couple sets the mood for the night. I've been to weddings where the couple were out on the dancefloor all night and everyone had a blast with them. On the other hand couples have stayed at one table all night and so guests are left wondering what to do.

We are looking forward to dancing the most so I think everyone will have fun with us. I just want to do quick ceremony and get straight to dancing. We are going to have some games--corn hole, can jam, spike ball-- but that's all just extra and I imagine we just are going to dance!

Our guests said it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to and we have an amazing DJ (we picked all the music) and an open bar. We danced from the first song to the last and had a ton of fun. It was only 54 people so we didn’t have to “visit” a lot plus it was a destination wedding so we had seen them for a few days so we just wanted to have a blast at our wedding.

I agree with Courtney. You and your FH will set the mood. If you are up dancing and partying your guest will follow. My family and friends have been to parties that me and my FH have thrown before so they now my reception will be a big party!!!
