Water at reception! How is it being served at your wedding?

Melanie, on September 13, 2019 at 3:42 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 15

I wanted to put a jug of water on each table, but my table is long and there will be a lot of decoration to fill and I don't know if the jug of water fits on the table. I was thinking of putting on a water station but I don't know if it's annoying for the guests to get up every time they need more water or soft drink. I don’t like the idea of bottle of waters.

There will be servers but I don’t think they can run to give water every time they need. There be 150 guest!
What worked/will work best for you?

For my (much smaller) wedding we’re doing a large cooler with bottled water and soda cans. Ge up to get a fresh bottle/can won’t hurt them.

We had large water bottles that staff refilled as needed.

I’m planning on having a glass set out per guest at their tables for water and have the servers refill them. Kind of like at a restaurant when they bring you a glass of water on the side of your wine glass.

I'm not sure what you mean by jug? Like a plastic gallon water bottle?

I'm planning either wine bottles cleaned and filled with water, or nice glass bottles. Then the servers will refill them when needed.

Our wedding is casual, so we're just having bottles of water. We may get personalized labels, not sure yet

We had just shy of 100, and the waitstaff made sure that everyone's water glass was topped off throughout the dinner service. Our bar also offered water bottles upon guests' request.

I would do a nice water station infused with fruit or add a nice basin at the end of your buffet with bottle water etc.

I really love the idea of using 1L bottles. That’s how they serve water at some restaurants and it doesn’t take up as much room on the table. Plus i think having 2 of them on the table would be much easier for wait staff to refill.
