That's what we did too!!!!!! He is getting me an actual ring at some point this summer. Glad to know I'm not alone!

I was surprised!! We have spoke about marriage but I didn’t know he had a ring, I didn’t know he would propose when he did! It was Christmas morning, I hadn’t brushed my hair, my nails weren’t painted, I was still in my sweats, and I was the last to open my presents. Little did I know I’d end up blind folded to take it off and see this!! My sister, niece and my daughter were all in on it!

My fiancee is not the romantic type but he did surprise me. I was not prepared at all. I was home cooking us dinner and he had me sit down on the bed. He pulled out the ring and proposed half way down on his knees. (lol) I said yes and gave him a big kiss.

I didn’t really get a dream proposal. I had knee surgery and things went for the worst. I was brought back to life and he didn’t know what had happened. When he came back to the recovery room to see me I was get in the ambulance to head to the hospital. That had frightened him. So one day we was driving and he said we should get married. He didn’t have no ring or anything. I was confused where that conversation was coming from. He started to tell me how that situation made him feel and he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. So, here we are now planning a dream wedding.

I knew it was coming all year. We're in a LDR and I knew he was coming to Australia to meet my family and get my mum's permission. I didn't know when or where he'd do it, however.

The Proposal

After nearly 4 years of dating, I knew it was coming especially because I helped pick the ring (which he ended up customizing to be perfect and a surprise!). I was surprise by where it took place which ended up being in a blizzard at the top or the tallest ski lift in North America (Breckenridge, Colorado). It was absolutely perfect and he even got down on one knee in 5 foot powder! Haha

I knew it was coming because we bought the ring on a cruise to Nassau Bahamas

TOTALLY SURPRISED. I knew it was gonna happen but not so soon and not on his birthday! It was everything I dreamed. Me “taking an adventure photo.”

I sortof seen it coming.
We were at the beach with my very best friend and her husband on vacation and he said hey let’s go walk on the beach and my friend followed us. He knelt down on one knee in the ocean and the sand and told me about how he never thought he would ever get married and how all that changed when he met me. Obviously I said yes. That’s why I’m here

I knew it was coming. My mom dropped hints like “Allie, get your nails done” the day he proposed. He couldn’t keep it in either when he agreed with my mom. He also was acting funky that day too.

I had a hunch in a way, however, I didn't think it'll be that soon. My Fiance tried his best to throw me off guard so he gave me tons of different dates here and there. On the weekend of, I was going to Santa Barbara from San Diego to meet my best friend. My best friend took me to a Nail Salon and I thought we were just getting pampered. The following day, she asked that I brought a dress. I thought it was weird, but she said we were going to a winery. I wore the dress and sneakers because I thought we were going to go hiking, I didn't dress up that well. I regret my decisions; however, overall it was a great surprise indeed at the hiking trail. I saw my fiance's face in the mountain castles and I thought I was dreaming. What a wonderful day it was and truly something I can remember!

Not gonna lie I knew it was coming we were on vacation in Italy I just didn’t know when in Italy it was gonna happen but I knew it was happening..

We were engaged in November but a few weeks prior I had heard him talking to his friend who was asking if "___ had come for the Mrs yet" I didn't hear what he had said but just assumed it was something for my birthday. This was still unusual because after 10 years together, I know he is not an early planner & my birthday still wasn't for about a month...

November 9th i wake up to an empty bed & hear music downstairs. I get up without putting in my contacts & blindly stumble downstairs to the kitchen. Well, we have 2 entrances to the kitchen & when I walked in he was on the floor facing the basement door next to our fridge. So I ask him, still blind & half asleep, "are you cleaning the side of the fridge?" after rubbing my eyes a little bit I finally saw the red ring box he was holding!! He completely took me by surprise despite my suspicion earlier in the month. He said he was facing the wrong way because he expected me to come through the other entrance (surprise) & I caught him mid spin... . Oh & the reason I woke up to an empty bed was because he was also making waffles!!! 😭❤️ Can't wait to officially make this wonderful man my husband!!

My proposal was a total surprise! We had planned a getaway to Fort Lauderdale months prior to the engagement on December 8th, 2019. Being from Indiana, the winters are brutal. So we always like to go somewhere warm. For me, it was a great relaxing weekend in the warm weather like always. Nothing unusual. He told me what time to be ready for dinner and I was on time for once. We got to the riverfront and took a Los Olas gondola ride to look at the big mansions. On the way back to the pier he said he invited a few people to come hang with us for the weekend. I was thinking my cousin because they live "south". He made me put on a blindfold. Once we got off the gondola, I took off the blindfold and saw a huge greenery wall with flowers on it and in big hug letters " Will You Marry Me??" I just broke down and cried. I look up and he's down on one knee. There was a saxophone player, photographers, candles, rose petals, and our personal pictures set up all around us!! He had planned this months ago with the help of a romance Concierge, @romanceonthego. It was perfect! I still get emotional looking at the pictures.

I was completely shocked!! We had talked about marriage plenty and even gone ring shopping (in early July) but I still had no clue.

We go to the movies quite often and when he told me we were going it was a regular day for me. I had just gotten my hair done so he "hyped" me up to "get cute" - which is normal for us as well. Once the trailers started playing I was thinking everything was normal until the trailer he had created starring my friends, my nephews and him of course began to play. Of course I bawled like a huge baby!!! The icing on the cake was that he had rented the ENTIRE THEATER and the people all there were actually family and friends! (the photographer and some of his friends sat up front to throw me off - plus it was dark when we walked in) Easily the best surprise of my life!!

Hell Yes!

I was really surprised. We have known each other for awhile now but have only been dating for a little bit. I know this is going to sound cliche but it was true love. It wasn't in a special place really. It was in the doorway to our room at his mother's house. I was standing there waiting for him to come in but instead he got down on his knee and asked me to marry him. I of course said yes!

It was a surprise for me. I knew it was coming but the day he got down on one knee was a surprise for me. We were in the poconoe mountains for his grandfather's birthday weekend and we had planned to go boating. I never thought that he was going to propose on the boat but he did and I was excited but shocked.

I was totally surprised. I was thinking we were going out for Easter because my whole family was there. My brother never goes to expensive restaurants. After we get done eating he gets up and we are just sitting there. I thinking in my head what is he doing we are ready to go. Next thing I know he coming with other people and a guy starts singing then he proposes I was so shocked at how big the ring was.
