Wanting to tour my venue again

Stayce, on June 6, 2019 at 9:23 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 26

Is it okay if i want to tour my venue again after i've already booked it? I want to plan and design my wedding and I feel like I need to be in the venue to really visualize all that i want. Would that be weird, or are venue owners pretty flexible considering you've already booked?

I think that's fine. I went back to my venue so many times to ask questions and other things after booking it. I think they're pretty flexible especially considering you booked

They should be ok with it. I did it, and my event manager was super great about it.

    Shouldn’t be an issue whatsoever.

Okay thanks! I don’t know much about weddings so planning mine has been stressful. I just don’t know what’s common practice and I don’t want to be annoying. Thanks again everybody!

Not an issue at all. I went and toured my venue a second time. The second time I remembered to have pictures taken too!

I think it makes sense. My FH and I have been out twice since booking to visit our venue and plan. The owner of ours said as long as there wasn't an event going on, we were welcome to come see it as much as we needed, and if we needed anything from her to just give her a heads up call that we'd be out there. Probably just make sure with your venue's owner that they don't have anything going on that you'd be interrupting

I think that is fine. They should be okay with you doing that because pictures don't do justice

Absolutely! We lived 8 hours away from our venue so the manager emailed us photos, a floor plan, etc, but seeing stuff like the lighting & scale would have been so helpful! Maybe make an apt so you can ensure there’s no event in the space(s) you want to see.

I feel like once something is booked, it's best to stop looking. You don't wanna have doubts.

Why would she have doubts about looking at her own venue again?

This is probably included in your contract somewhere. Mine stares that extra visits will be charged at $125/hour.

My venue told me during my first viewing once I book I can come and go and many times as I want or need as long as I don't disturb any other weddings. Even said if she cant be there she can learn the barn unlocked (its a working tree farm so there is always someone there). So I vote call the venue and go!

Not weird at all! I am actually going to mine tomorrow because it will be set up for a wedding. This way I will get an idea of how the place will be set up and plan accordingly.

We booked our venue February 2018, and the wedding is tomorrow. I have lost track of how many times we've needed to go take care of something there in order to decorate, measure, or otherwise figure things out. They have been awesome at accommodating us. It's a normal thing for couples to need to see their venue while planning their wedding.

We've been to our venue about 3 times since we booked it and we're going again a month before to meet with our event coordinator. She even let us come up and walk around by ourselves as it is an outdoor venue. I also took pictures of the space so I had something to reference when I was trying to plan things.

They should be totally ok with that. I went several times to measure or check on things and they were very accommodating. Don’t feel bad for asking to go there.
