You can definitely start planning. You can make a Pinterest board with all your ideas. You can book your photographer, dj and florist. All those vendors you can see their work and reviews online and make a decision from there. Try the thumbtack app. They have thousands and thousands of vendors. You can research venues and make a list of those you plan to see when the world reopens. Once you make the list you can call and email them to set up appointments to see them in the early summer. You can setup your hair and make up trials during that period also. There are sites like cocomelody where you can order wedding gowns online that you can try on and send back what you don’t like. If you plan on any DIY projects now is the perfect time to order items and start your projects while most people are at home. Don’t let the virus stop you! There is always a way. Happy planning !!!

You can and should start planning. Just because you cant do venue visits dont mean you cant research locations, dresses, if you are having bridal party figure out how you want to ask them, figure out budget first most important part. Research invites, favors, check out local photographers profiles online. Read reviews about said vendors. There are alot of things you can start to do. Order a wedding book where you keep all your thoughts etc. Use this downtime to start your planning. Good Luck with everything and I agree with Christ all things are possible.

I agree with the ladies above. We're getting married 5/29/21 and have everything planned and contracts signed. The sooner you start, the better especially since a lot of weddings are getting pushed back to next year due to covid.

Like what the previous posters said you can definitely get started early. My wedding is not until 2022 and I have the officiant booked, my favors picked out, we were about to sign the contract for the venue/caterer but then covid happened. While calling around to find a venue a lot of places are booked for 2022 so it’s not too early to plan. Since I can’t do much now, I started on my wedding website and registry.

I got engaged last month. I want to get married in December- a Christmastime wedding has always been my dream. But, because of the coronavirus, I can't even set a date or plan anything. If this coronavirus keeps hanging around, getting married this December might not even be possible and I might have to wait til December of next year. Its just a sad time for everyone! The good thing is, at least right now you have time to organize your thoughts and utilize the internet to research different aspects of your wedding, like invitations, photographers, venues, etc.

I feel the same way, I have looked at a lot of stuff online already ( I have been with my fiance for over 10 years and engaged for over a year), I feel like some stuff I just gotta see in person. Right before all this started I looked at my first venue, I liked it but didn't want to rush into it. I kinda want to wait to pick a date until we know we are in the clear of this virus.

    Hi Jessica,

Congrats on your engagement! I would absolutely recommend being your planning process. Lots of vendors are offering virtual meet + greets. Some are even offering discounts if you book now!

I hope you are able to connect with a few vendors soon!

Wishing you the best of luck!

    Smiley heart
