My cousin had a walmart cake at her wedding. Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures but it was 3 tiers, frosted in gray with purple flowers. If I remember correctly it was marble cake. Nothing fancy but still good.
I looked into walmart cakes too and the best way to find out what you’ll get is to go to walmart and ask them to show you pics of the cakes they made in store. I went to two walmarts and one decorator whipped out her cellphone to show me her work. If you see what they are capable of, you get realistic expectations of what they can do for you.
I havent had one, but know someone who did. The whole thing ended up frozen and slid out of the box when they brought it in. The lady who ran the venue managed to slap pieces together and saved the day partially. Not sure who's fault it was that the cake was frozen.
My daughter had a 3 tiered cake for her 21st birthday that Walmart uses as a wedding cake too. You can still pick fillings but the cake itself is white, chocolate or marble. It was great. The candles and topper we obviously added ourselves. It was 140.
Not walmart, but I went to a wedding with a Sam’s Club cake and it was very bad. It was badly lopsided and just looked like a baby shower cake, and it didn’t taste great either. Walmart could be the complete opposite, just be cautious and know you get what you pay for
