walking down a SHORT aisle?

Private User, on February 9, 2013 at 12:43 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

So I have a question for you ladies..We are getting married in a lodge and there is not alot of aisle space.. There is a door from the back I can walk through and then meet FH at the fireplace but will I have enough time for a song or should i just walk down? The ceremony and reception are in the lodge and the caterer said that at the lodge people usually sit at their tables during the ceremony.

I won't have a very long aisle either so i'm thinking of just playing the chorus from my song instead of the entire piece...but i do plan to have the song in its entirety on the cd (montage of our fav love songs, or something like that) i plan on making as part of the favors....and, if decide to do programs the song lyrics will be written in that.

We had a short aisle, I had a violinist play my wp down the aisle to the same song I walked to. (pachebels cannon in D) fater my 4 girls walked a pianist joined her to make it a duet and then I walked. We just picked a part of the song that would make it so my fav part played

We had a short aisle. We just had our song faded out at a convenient stopping place after we got to the front.

In the same boat here... my thought is to walk slowly and then let the song play out while looking lovingly at my FH... depends on what song I end up choosing I guess.

Our aisle will be fairly short as well, so I am having my bridesmaids walk down to the same song as I will be and my piano/flute duo are just going to change the temp or one will jump in at that time (that part is not figured out yet) but I played the song on my computer and practised in my house (it's open concept and is about the same length as the iasle from one side to the other and it only took me maybe 20 seconds and the part I love in the song I chose is not until about a minute in.

Our aisle is also very short. There is a song that I love and want to use, so the bridesmaids will walk to it too. I will come in during a crescendo.
