Alyssa, have you considered restaurants as venues? Assuming they'd allow it. I got married at CocoPalm restaurant in Pomona, CA, food was amazing, everything was included and they have outdoor terraces where you can have your reception as well as indoor options ( again assuming its allowable). There is also Luminarias is Monterey Park which does similar events, Castaway in Burbank (probably the priciest out of these) and The Odyssey in Chatsworth. These venues are similar but have packages that include flowers, cakes, food, alcohol, and more. When we got married we lived in DTLA and chose the Pomona Venue for everything that came with the package and the food was amazing and delicious.

I recommend looking into state or local parks

Hey Alyssa My fiancé and I are getting married at Quail Haven Farm in Vista, CA check them out, very green, reasonable price for venue space and lots of DIY options if you are into that ; )

If I were to plan another wedding I’d get a permit for a state park wedding- super affordable! I’m locked into my venue because of a pre-Covid contract and I do love it but state park is low-key and so cheap. 🙌

Where did you end up going with?

I Like the idea of restaurants for budget weddings: Michaels Santa Monica and Moderna Kitchen are a few I know of in LA with outdoor features.
