We were pretty nervous as well because it's different from looking at an apartment or new house. It's not just what you would like but what would work for your guests, budget, theme, décor, etc.

Thankfully all of my friends are married so they provided some insight on what to ask and what to look for in a venue. Just keep an open mind and you'll be fine. Good luck!

You're welcome. My biggest suggestion would be to ask what their inclement weather procedures would be because a friend of mine learned that lesson the hard way.

We were so excited but so nervous too! Honestly I was mostly nervous about getting laughed at by the venue because we were looking for a Sept 2019 venue back in Aug 2017 but to my surprise all the venues we looked at were happy we came that early! My advice would be don't jump on the first place you see! We loved the first place but after seeing multiple other venues we realized that the first wasn't for us. (we went with the 2nd venue we saw out of 4)

Like most, we were nervous and excited at the same time. We had 3 to look at our first day, and didn't book any of those but we got more ideas of what questions to ask after the first one.

I was nervous as well. Have a list of things you must have and ask about those if they are not explained. Ask about any additional fees or things like that. We wanted ceremony and reception at same place and one venue was charging per head for the ceremony as well.

Honestly I was super excited but also overwhelmed by all the options and prices. I think you'll just know when you find the right one because you can actually imagine your wedding being in that location. Be sure to make a list of questions to ask. Good luck and have fun!

We knew we were only viewing that venue. It was our dream venue. But it was still nervracking. It was our first big step. We went in with a date in mind but wasn’t set due to wanting that specific venue we had to go a week back. But all in all it was the best experience to start (:
