4 only one was a real wedding venue though the other 3 where public parks ig its kinda 5 because we considered his uncles house but its to far away and we would have had to rent to much extra stuff

We looked at about 5. The first venue we looked at I thought I would be set on. The pictures were way better than in person. We toured a few other places before we saw the venue we went with. I didn’t think we would love the venue as much as we did but we knew it was the one we wanted when we took a tour.

We looked at 4 venues. Two in our state and two out of state. We ultimately decided with one of the out of state options as it had the exact rustic character we were looking for and we couldn’t stop thinking about it. You will know when no other venue can compare to the one your heart is set on.

I contacted 10-12 (for pricing and availability) but we only visited one - which we booked and love.

Online: dozens and dozens

That helped us narrow down what we liked, what the price ranges were, and so on.

After that, we contacted 10 or so? To get more information... we scheduled tours with 3, and FIL insisted on us looking at a fourth, that he had heard about through some friends (that was a hysterical disaster that he couldn't attend, but that's ok).

So, 3 that DH and I were interested in, and 1 for the ILs.

We picked our 2nd, which we knew as soon as we left, but we saw the other 2 just to make DH and ILs feel better. (I tend to set my mind and then move on.)

We looked at 2 other venues before we settled on our final one. We absolutely fell in love with our final venue and knew it was the ONE for us as soon as we toured the property.

Only 2 because the rest were so crazy expensive or had zero flexibility on caterer (which might have made it expensive anyway lol). I couldn't believe the lack of venues in the Philadelphia/Northeast PA (in our taste of 1. at least partially outdoors and 2. NO gulf courses) that were reasonably priced.

That being said, I looked online at soooo many.

I ended up looking at 6, and I’m glad I did because it helped me narrow in on what I wanted (loft with outdoor space). It also helped me realize I’d have to up the venue budget to get exactly what I wanted, since the other ones were teeny-tiny. I actually didn’t think we’d book the venue that we did because the photographs of it were just meh, but it’s beautiful in person! And they were the only ones who had a lot of options for dates (literally everything else was 1 date or no Saturdays).

I think we already knew we would go with the one we first looked at and had in mind already but honestly we probably in total went to a dozen

One! But that's because I was stubbornly in love with it before we were even engaged. We took a vacation there a few months into dating and when we walked in the gardens I started smacking his arm and told him if we ever get married, it's goingto be here.

The venue that we are having our reception at was the 1st venue we looked at and even booked it. Then looked at another place a few weeks later, but had a shock on price. Funny thing is our venue I had found before we even got engaged.
