Venues that allow outside caterer

Joseph, on July 28, 2016 at 1:15 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

Hi everyone! I am looking for venues near Westchester County, NY or Fairfield County, CT or any other place in the general vicinity that allows outside catering. We want to have traditional Russian cuisine, so we will be bringing in a caterer. Any suggestions? Web searches are not yielding results.

Looking for more traditional and just bring in a caterer. I don't really want a DIY wedding b/c I have seen all the work friends have done. But I am beginning to realize that a DIY space might be the only way to go.

I'm pretty sure the Burr Homestead in Fairfield allows outside catering. A co-worker's daughter got married there last fall and they chose their own caterer

Try the Green Loft in Brooklyn, the Westchester Women's Club.

I'd call a couple of caterers that would be appropriate; I'm sure they have places they can recommend to you.

Community centers tend to allow an outside caterer. I'm having my ceremony at a small chapel, and the reception will be in a community center walking distance away. I looked at all the community centers in my area. Some look like high school gymnasiums, but others are quite formal! (I'm on the wrong coast to know your area specifically.)

Contact a few caterers and ask them where they have worked in the past.

I am getting married at Lighthouse Point Park in New haven- blank canvas! It's right on the beach and you have to find your own caterer. Definitely worth checking out! They don't do much advertising because they are always fully booked every season, I came across it on a blog! Smiley smile
