Venues like Tower Hill Botanic Garden

Sara, on September 6, 2021 at 11:42 PM Posted in Connecticut Planning 0 6
Hello! I really love botanic gardens and greenhouse type venues. I am in love with the Orangerie at Tower Hill Botanic Garden in Massachusetts, but they can only accommodate 120 people. We would need a space for about 200-250 people. I also do NOT want a tent wedding. Does anyone know of similar venues in the CT or New England area? Thanks in advance!

Hi Sara! Did you know you can search by venue type on WeddingWire? I'd do a few searches for garden venues in different New England locations!! 🌷

Hi Sara! Did you ever find a similar venue? Almost five years later and I am having the exact same dilemma — our guest list is just too big for Tower Hill.

Hi Sarah! Not really, unfortunately. We ended up at Farmington Gardens. Not sure where you’re located but I do know that CT has a newer greenhouse venue, but I am fairly certain it’s pretty pricey and it’s also hard to find info about weddings there. It’s called the Gardens at Stone Post Key. Then there’s also a new venue called The Vue but it’s not really gardens or greenhouse, just has a lot of floor to ceiling windows so lots of natural light. There’s also The Lace Factory but that’s also expensive. If you have less than 165, you could check out Pond House Cafe. It’s pretty and right in Elizabeth Park with all the gardens around.

Thanks for getting back to me! And, I'm sure your wedding at Farmington Gardens was beautiful Smiley smile I hadn't heard of the Gardens at Stone Post Key before, so I will absolutely reach out. You're right though, it looks like there isn't a lot of information out there about it yet.
