All vendors have different ways of pricing to their services. I would ask them what the price includes.

It will differ per venue, I'd ask for a break down to see what all that includes.

This style of pricing often goes with a venue that includes catering and beverages. There will be additional fees, though, so this isn't the whole story for a venue. For example, our venue has the catering/beverage on site (included), as well as other things like tables/chairs/linens/dishes/glassware/flatware, etc. But our contract is broken down into categories. Like we're paying $800 for the facility rental, $1200 for the staff fee, and on down the line. But then you get to the major portion, which is the guests and the cocktail hour/dinner/dessert portion, and it's all based on a per head number. Like $39.95 per person. The best thing to do is to contact the venue coordinator directly and ask them about the breakdown of their pricing.

Like PP said, every venue has their own way of doing it. I had to actually talk to people to get prices too. Like not everything was published on their website. I think that's on purpose, because they want you talking to their people, so they can sell you on what they have to offer.

I would like to think that's for the food but it could be including other things. So definitely do what the other PPs said in asking for the breakdown of that cost and ask for any other additional fees if there are. You may never know, some venues charge things like cake cutting fee

From the photos you posted, it seems like they want you to pick the reception package you want.
One is $42 per person and one is $54 per person.
It does not seem like that includes fees for the venue.

It differs depending on the venue. You should inquire with the venue, see if there is a reception fee as well as a ceremony fee, if you're planning on having your ceremony in the same venue.

EDIT: This is the best thing I have found, as far as any checklist to ask the venue. https://offbeatbride.com/questions-to-ask-wedding-venues/ It is also printable!

As others have mentioned, this is based on the venue. Most venues will have a separate fee just to rent the venue. For instance, my venue charges $8,000 just to rent the venue. This fee at my venue included tables, chiavari chairs, linens, menus, set up, clean up, a banquet manager, and an event coordinator. Then, you would pick the food package and bar package priced per person on top of that which ranges in price widely (mine was about $315 per person but this is not average - average in my area is around $100-$150 per person). There will be a service fee usually around 20-22% added to that number as well as tax so be sure you understand exactly how much everything will cost including the fine print.
