Hello fellow brides,

So I got engaged a few months ago and we are starting our wedding planning. We are from Long Island and I'm having a real hard time finding a venue that is budget friendly and beautiful. We have a budget up to $15,000 with an estimated guest list of 150 (not final). We are considering making it an adults only reception however we were still debating. I would like to bring my own food and alcohol. Im open to LI, Queens, Brooklyn or Manhattan. Any suggestions on a venue?

Have you looked into community centers, fire halls, or VFWs? I’m not from your area but usually those are the most budget friendly. If you have a caterer in mind already, you could ask for a list of some of the venues they’ve worked at too.

I have considered a VFW however they are strict with the decorating policies. I will look into the community centers and fire halls. Thanks for advice.
