Venue Troubles

Allaura, on July 12, 2019 at 5:17 PM Posted in Planning 0 10
So I’ve looked at all of the venues I have planned to look at and I just haven’t fell in love with any of them. I’m starting to get disappointed and frustrated because it seems like I’m just not going to find it. My FH doesn’t have any opinion on our venue so he’s like no help. I just don’t know what to do because I feel like I’ve looked at all of the places that I thought would fit my vibe. :/ any suggestion on places in Tucson or Temecula/ Palm Springs/ Oceanside/Escondido to have a ceremony and reception at?

I was definitely in your shoes! We finally found one and although it wasn't my first choice, I'm still very much in love with it. What kind of vibe are you looking for? Is there a specific theme you're looking for? It also depends on budget. That definitely either minimizes or expands the type of venue you're able to book.

My first choice was Stone Brewery because I liked their industrial look inside but they have such a nice garden outside. That’s kind of what I’m going for. We want a plated dinner and that was why we decided to not go with stone. Unfortunately they only do plated service inside and if we wanted to use the garden we would have to give up the plated service. I’m not too worried about budget because if I find something I love then that will be it and we’ll figure out the rest.

Word of advice .. think about what u want the venue to become, not what it looks like as is... how convenient is it 2 get the look and set up what u want and need for ur special day... hope that helps

You will find something :-) I really didn’t fall in love with most of the venues we saw! It took a solid month with us looking multiple times a week to find the right one! Keep looking! Sometimes you can transform a space that is just okay to something you love with just a little work and planning!

What's the vibe you're going for?
Check out Fairview Green River in Corona. Awesome place and amazing staff and packages.

My FH didn’t care about the venue either, until we found “the one” lol. Once we found our venue, he very much cared and was all smiles! Keep looking. You’ll find what you want!

Have you checked out The Wood Shed in Vista? It might fit your vibe. We looked at it, but ultimately went with a different venue. The Wood Shed is a very affordable rental space and you can do what you want with it as far as set-up and decor. https://woodshedvenue.com/

I think its important to lay out exactly what you are looking for in these venues. Look outside of your travel range. Maybe expand parameters by 20, 20 or even 50 miles. My best friend had this exact thing happen and she ended up having the wedding 2 hours south. it was more cost effective and was EXACTLY what she was looking for.
