I have about 20 out of state guests (My close friends and family members). We want to get married at a location that's meaningful to us, near my FH's parent's house on the river. This is where we got engaged, and we are planning to do a rehearsal dinner there the night before the wedding. Everyone has said that the travel is no problem, but idk if they are just trying to be polite. The house is about 1.5-2 hours from the nearest airport, which is also the city that the majority of our guests live in (so everyone will have to travel 1.5 hours). We already put a 1000-dollar deposit down on a venue close to the river, but now I'm having second thoughts.
is that too far to ask them to travel? I just feel so bad that they'll likely need rental cars. I already found an air bnb for them to stay at that can hold all of them, I offered to pay for it but my mother insisted that she pay. i just feel guilty making people come all this way and add additional hassle to their trip. Should we have just done it near the airport?
