Venue Shut down

Kirsten, on March 19, 2020 at 10:48 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 5
Hi everyone! So I know the whole talk is about covid-19. My venue is now shut down and I’m not getting any response from the coordinators there as to whether or not I should postpone the wedding or I guess consider postponement? My wedding is in September so I feel like it will all blow over by then, but would it be a good contingency plan to see if we can move the date back? Let me know your thoughts!

I think you will be fine by September. They probably can't go into work right now depending on what the county/ city/ village and/ or state has declared if they are deemed non-essential for going to work right now.

I would hold off on postponing your September wedding for the time being. Keep following updates from the CDC and the White House as they become available, but I wouldn't stress too much as of now. Your venue is also probably overwhelmed by the amount of brides they have scheduled to get married between today and July/August, so they may take a bit to get back to you!

I think it’s ok to see what options you had if you did need to move but I would hold off on actually postponing it

They are probably busy working with weddings that are in the next couple of months.. I wouldn’t worry too much yet if your date is in September

Please don't bother the coordinators with Sept weddings. They have their hands full with us April and May'ers right now.
