Venue Regret

I did this, M told me it was just buyers remorse after doing such a big deposit. And he was right, I now absolutely love our venue and love telling people about it. I had to stop looking at other venues and just remind myself that we both loved this one and it was in our budget.

I've never second guessed our decision but FH did and he mainly second guessed it because after we chose our venue we went to 2 weddings within the same year and one venue we went to was at a golf country club so it had a really spacious place for pictures which our venue doesn't have and the other venue was a very extravagant country club so FH was all like everyone is doing a country club and I just simply said to him....listen don't second guess our venue just because it's not all huge and fancy like other places it's exactly what I wanted....we will be the only wedding and it's reasonably priced and I know the food and service is good because of all the reviews. The two places we went to they were nice but the golf country club was serving hot tea & coffee before the dinner even came...they were super slow with dinner and the dinner was already prepared ahead of time...and the other place I know my friend spent a very good amount on the per plate and the food was not all that great

I did as well. As Ashley mentioned, we need to stop looking at the other ones because we chose our initial venue for a reason. I too, now love my venue and the service is excellent.

Shara.. I go back and forth with this thought too. I have not really looked at others, and I know that it is a good place. Not go big, Ceremony and reception in the same venue, and they will also be catering and doing the linens. I do not have to worry about chair covers or even much decorating. They will be decorating the buffet line and there are twinkle lights already from the ceiling.

So... all in all.... one stop shopping.

I did, but for financial reasons. We found a place about 45 minutes from here, $250/day so $500 total, everything was diy, which I was okay with at first, but when we broke down the financials and added in all the vendors travel fees, we decided against it. We have an appt with our now first choice of local venues. We are hoping it looks as beautiful in person as it does in pictures. Our baker says its gorgeous! We see it next Saturday!

I am doing that currently. I just keep reminding myself that I loved it when I saw it and that I have a plan for it...try not to think about it, I know it's hard. But, you made the choice for a reason.

Yes, I think all of us have that second guess because it's such a big decision. We found a place pretty quickly and it makes the most sense financially, but in my head I keep wondering if some amazing place is out there that we don't know about yet. FH keeps reminding me that the we looked at many places and this place will work out the best, to stop second guessing and focus that energy on making our venue work for us. I'm sure your venue is great and you will love it!

I second guessed it for a while and then a month after we booked, we visited again and I loved it. It wasnt our first choice but we couldnt swing our first choice due to their new rules they put in place on spending minimums and guest minimums. It was a great feeling walking in and just being like aww i love it here still!
