Max capacity, if they allow outside vendors (if you plan on having a caterer/bartender), if they allow alcohol, ask to see the table and chairs (that way if you dont like the way they look you can consider renting those items), and what time music or the event needs to wind down (incant have music or loud noises after midnight because of the ordinances).

The big ones are usually centered around cost. I would also inquire about potential special dietary needs (if they provide food), and what availability you’ll have to set up everything. We decided on a Friday wedding because our venue will let us have the whole day before to set up which was a huge selling point!

- If they hold multiple events at one time (two of the venues we looked at would hold multiple events simultaneously, and at one venue they shared the same restrooms).
- if it’s all inclusive where they include set beverages (beer, wine etc) ask if you can change them and the cost to do so (if this is important to you, my husband was set in being able to serve certain beers and some venues didn’t include the ones he wanted)
- if they included a coordinator, what do they do what exactly are the responsible for, and what won’t they do?
