Venue problems due to covid 19 . Help ? Experiences?

Hi guys. So me and my fiancé decided to postpone our wedding on July 26,2020 . Our venue is giving us a very hard time . There’s been a lot of back and forth and because we want to push it to next year they said there will be a fee . Now we spoke to them a few days ago and they said they prefer us to move it later on this year . Unfortunately we do not feel safe and think it would be better to move it to next year . They said they will call us this weekend and still haven’t . I don’t know what to do . We still don’t have a final conclusion . We waited for their call today since they told us they will call us this weekend and they haven’t . We called ourselves today again twice and no answer . We are so stressed as it is and don’t know what to do . Any advice or help ?

Unfortunately this is pretty typical. They are short staffed, probably most are working from home, and having to reschedule so many events. Cut them a break but continue to follow-up with them. Is there an email address you can try too? The girl who helped us reschedule sucked at checking her phone but would normally respond to email.
Hopefully they will respond soon with some dates for next year. You will most likely have to pay this fee, I don't really see a way around it. My venue was the same. Good luck!

I would wait until Monday and try and reach out again. Things change. My wedding is aug 7 and I’m still going forward with my plans unless otherwise informed.
