Hi brides! I booked our wedding for June 25th, 2020 at NOAHS event venue in Charlotte, NC. Today, I received numerous phone calls from my bride friends and vendors notifying me of my venue closing down abruptly! I tried to call the venue and corporate number but everything is going to their voicemail. I had just spoken with the venue last week about alcohol and they never mentioned that they would be closing. We only have 4 months till our big day and are left with finding another venue. If there are any other NOAHS brides, feel free to reach out to me as I have been getting new and updated information frequently.

    Oh my god, what a nightmare!!! I can't believe that happened to you, I'm so sorry!! They really need to give you your deposit back at least! I live in Charlotte as well so if I hear of see anything about a new venue for you I'll let you know!!

    This actually happened to me a few weeks ago! Turned out to be the best thing that ever happened! We were able to find a bigger even more beautiful venue. Fortunately, they gave me my deposit back and I had enough time to look for a new venue. So yes it may stink right this moment, but there other venues. Keep your head up, think positively, and go find yourself an even better venue! It will all work out in the end and you will have an amazing wedding! 😊

    I just looked at the indiana location and they were talking deposits while the building was still being built. They never even got permits to build! What an awful company!

    Business practices like that are really common in Indiana! Its actually our super loose laws that are why my FH's work is here when they only have one branch per continent.


    Just putting this info out there if it helps anyone cross check to see who theyre getting into contracts with. It feels like everyones venu closed this week 😥

    Goodness gracious. I just don't understand how they got that far without permits. We got cited in Carmel for trying to Bore under a sidewalk. They have people searching for violators. They probably spent all their money on fines.

    If you used a credit card, dispute it now. Slight chance but may get money back.

    According to the article they first declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy in May 2019 - that should have been a red flag to anyone considering these venues.

    I am SO sorry to hear this! This makes me sick to my stomach! I would reach out to every venue near you and see who has availability. Explain your situation and see if anyone is willing to work with you! Are you willing to travel outside of Charlotte? I’ll help you look, I live a little north of there.
    I like Leslie’s idea of disputing charges with your CC company. Otherwise, you may need to take legal action to get your money back.

    Hu Sarah, thanks so much. Please let me know of any venues you may run across. Unfortunately it looks as though I am going to have to file a law suit at the attorney general's office to get some type of money back, which is also a process.

    Thank you Christina, you words give me some type of hope that it will all be okay in the end. We have paid over 4k for our venue and I'm not even sure how the refund process would work since they've already filed for bankruptcy.

    Oh no! I hope you find something! We had a venue here shut down abruptly like this too. Not sure if the brides got their money back or not... I do know that whenever brides post on FB that they are looking for a venue, these people still try to get them. So that's really sketchy.


    I definitely hope you can get money back, and maybe some other place might cut you a great deal since you're 4 months out and they screwed you over.

    I've posted in a few other discussions but I'm in a Facebook group for NE Ohio Brides and there have been multiple venues offering discounts and help for those affected by Noah closing. Look for groups in your area or call around/search on social media. Best of luck to you! I am so sorry!

    Omg! That's awful! I booked with my venue back in early late 2018 before they even filed for bankruptcy! I cant believe it!
