Venue Manager/coordinator to set out favors?

Is it weird to ask the venue manager/coordinator to set out the favors? I was originally going to hire a DOC to do this but she wanted $1,400 just to set out favors and the cake table decor. Uh...no thanks. I figure the staff will have to set the places with napkins and such anyway, would it be awful to have them set out the favor boxes as well?

Not weird, just expect them to charge you for it. Hopefully it's less than what the DOC quoted you

My venue set my favors up with my table settings and they didn’t charge me anything else. I guess it doesn’t hurt to ask.

You can ask but be prepared that they may say no or they may charge you for it.

Thanks! They are little metal boxes that look like pomegranates. My FH is Armenian and pomegranates are a sign of good luck and prosperity.
