Venue Madness/ Trust yourself

Rose-Brax, on February 11, 2020 at 11:28 AM Posted in Planning 0 8
Hello ladies!

I live in Tennessee and due to a recent event with a bride here in Memphis I just want to remind everyone to not ignore those gut feelings or red flags when it comes to picking your venue. Here in Memphis Noah's Event Center decided to close down on the day of the wedding for a beautiful bride who had booked a year in advance to help ensure her wedding day ran smoothly she even had her rehearsal the night before! Noah's Event Center did not notify the bride, refund or try to resolve the situation in anyway... Luckily the bride was able to get married on the same day but I'm sure it wasn't close to what she expected her wedding day to be. This story hits home for me because this is the very venue I couldn't take my eyes off of but something kept saying "NO" and I chose to listen this could have very so much been me and it could be you so please please trust yourself during this process and if something doesn't sit well with you remember you're not tripping and this is your wedding trust the process and most of all TRUST YOURSELF! (Noah Event Center filed for bankruptcy and has been handling all of their business locations in this manner across the nation)

This is when every one needs to purchase Wedding Insurance. I have it in place already to insure that I can get my money back. I have deposits on most of my Wedding and reception I sure dont want to go threw this Headache.

Whew thank gosh. I have a similar story. I was between two venues. And we ended up not going with venue A and thank gosh we didn't because they closed down too !

Oh gosh I'm so happy you'll were able to DODGE that bullet because you really never know sometimes and the final decision comes down to you, your future husband and that gut feeling way to go for being an intuitive 👰 do you remember the name of the venue that closed down?

Trust your gut and do your research! There was a national news article about them last summer that the owner was accused of fraud and running a Ponzi scheme. This definitely wasn’t out of the blue for this company unfortunately.

Wow that would be a nightmare. We are purchasing wedding insurance just in case.
