My venu is 1 hour away from buffalo (there ceremony and reception will be held here.. It's at the red house in Cassadaga, NY. Most of my friends and FH family will be there. My family is giving me problems about going because this 1 hour drive inconveniences them. They like to drink..... and don't want to drunk drive.. Which I totally understand. I dont want anyone drinking and driving.. Now I already set up hotel room blocks at a hotel 15 minutes away from the venu. I'm also gonna book 2 Airbnb's that fit up to 10 people each.... I am starting to get so upset that they make it seem like this huge inconvenience.... but I'm doing everything I can to make sure they are comfortable... I'm just so pissed off because we are literally paying for everything ourselves which again I dont mind but EVERYTHING IS LOTERALLY FREE TO THEM ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS SHOW UP. This has been bothering me for mo ths. Our wedding is 9/12/2020 btw.

Hi im from buffalo too! The red house looks absolutely beautiful! That’s definitely frustrating, they should be thankful that you rented a hotel and airbnb’s. You could also look into shuttles from the hotel to the red house or you could give everyone a code with a discount on an uber ride!

NOBODY should be drunk driving. An uber code is easy to set up and lets people leave when they want to, rather than when the shuttle gets there and has enough butts in seats to leave. It has a geotag on it so it will only leave from your event and only go to the place you set (the hotel) so people can't decide to go bar hopping. I've heard good things, I would look into it.

I'm sorry that your family is acting this way. It sounds like you have gone above and beyond by booking hotel room blocks as well as an Airbnb for them to stay in. I would try not to let it bother you. You picked your venue for a reason and this is you and your fiance's wedding, not theirs. They can easily catch an Uber back to one of the lodging options you have for them at the end of the night and I would let them know that the next time they want to complain to you about things. I'd also remind them that they aren't forced to attend your wedding. So if a 1 hour drive or a 15 minute Uber ride to a hotel/Airbnb is too inconvenient, they can stay home .

Thank you ladies so much. I just needed some assurance because some people think I'm being upset about about it. I think I have a right to be! But I did look into the uber event already and I don't think I should have to eat the cost because they are so worried about being drunk. It's a day to celebrate and remember and I want it to be perfect! I like the advice; if they dont wanna come then they dont have to, and honestly I'm not gonna force it anymore!

I’m from buffalo too! Everyone is always going to have an opinion, try not to let it bother you. You’re right you’ve provided an Airbnb, they can Uber to and from wedding and drive car to Airbnb day of wedding and home the next day it’s not a big deal they need to relax.

Thank you so much for understanding girl! I have narrowed down my guest list and set up a better plan. All I want is for me and my FH to be happy. We do not care about anyone else opinion because we've done everything we needed to!
