My Daughter is getting married at a No Refund Venue. I’m wanting to know of reputable companies that sell Venue Cancellation Insurance.

Now of course the Venue itself is licensed and insured. Please don’t think them shady. They are a beautiful facility.
What I’m wanting is for any reason we had to cancel because of sickness, death or other emergency reasons. Unfortunately Covid has impacted a lot of situations. This has made us think of other ways this day could be impacted. My husband and I don’t want to loose the thousands of dollars spent.
We don’t want to get scammed so I was just wondering who everyone else has used?

According to most venue insurance policies, they will only reimburse you for “an act of God” which is a extreme weather (hurricane/flood/tornado) and similar. Unfortunately Covid is not under that umbrella. You can also do a search of the forum in top right of the page for suggestions.

Thank you for your response. I’ve read on a couple of sites that depending on which insurance you go with it works a lot like car insurance. Liability vs Full coverage based on what you’re willing to pay for. I will continue to look into it. Thanks again for your input!

Funny thing is, on my contract it states that they do NOT cover acts of God. I was SHOCKED when I read it because I’d thought they would cover. I’ve been on edge about insurance but I live in Houston and July is hurricane season for us. However, some of the prices for the insurance were around $200 a month 😩

There might be some that’s cheaper. Our venue provided 3 different options - I looked at 2 and got $200. I’m going to cross my fingers really tight and hope we do not have any issues.
