Venue help!

Stephanie, on August 17, 2019 at 9:23 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 13
I have trouble finding a place to host our wedding. We only want to spent $15,000 for our wedding. Most places we looked at cost close to $14,000 and it doesn’t include photographer, florist, dress, party favors, etc. I want our wedding to be in November. We are looking to have between 85 - 100 guests. My decorations for a wedding would be between rustic and elegant. Kind of like Silverleaf Country Club in Scottsdale. I need help! 😭

I'm assuming you live in Arizona because you mentioned Scottsdale. I'm getting married at the Phoenix Zoo. They have a ton of venues, mostly outdoor but a few indoor, none of which are super costly. I'm having my ceremony at one and the reception at another, and with bar included the total is $5000. That would give you plenty extra to have whatever caterers, flowers, etc. you want. I think the weather is still nice enough that you wouldn't be cold. Just a suggestion.

Maybe check out some historical buildings in your area. I know that was the only way that we could find a venue that would fit in our 10k budget.

I would look into community centers. We are having our wedding and reception there, and we have it for 10 hours for only 275. For a small fee we can rent the kitchen if we have a licensed caterer. Most of the time the decor is very neutral so your theme would be great

State parks are another great option. Some you need a permit. Others offer indoor spacing as well. Cutting your guest list will also help a ton. The catering is one of the bigger expenses.

Hmm, we ended up choosing November and got a hefty discount b ecause it’s considered “off season” in New England but it might be worth asking some of these venues if it’s cheaper to have your wedding on a Friday or Sunday, sometimes venues will offer discounts for that, keep researching 15k is very reasonable and our budget is similar.

If you're looking at Saturdays at country clubs in Scottsdale, you probably can't do it for $15k. You might get a discount if you look at other days of the week. Are you in AZ? Where else have you looked?

Have you heard of wedgewood palm valley weddings? It’s an all inclusive golf club in the west valley and I believe it’s below your budget.

Big budget cutter is no florets DIY or buy from
Etsy. Country clubs tend to be more expensive. Try barns and gardens. You could do a cake and punch wedding or a brunch wedding. Getting married off season can cut budget.

Yes, we checked out the one in chandler and it’s way over our budget because of taxes/ service charges. You have to spend at $11,000 minimum to use their venue.

The price of the wedgewood ones vary by location. The palm valley one does not exceed 12k. They include photography and catering I believe. It’s worth looking into.

    Most venues are expensive unfortunately

It might be time to consider some non trsidtip al options. Restaurants that charge less to rent our during the day time. Have a brunch wedding instead. Paying someone a fee to use their house... finding a friend with a business building that you can rent / decorate and make wedding ready.

Maybe the court have for ceremony and a fun venue for reception.

Get creative. Think outside the box
