Venue filed for bankruptcy! 😩

Sheryl, on February 9, 2020 at 12:22 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 1 19
FREAKING OUT! Our venue filed for bankruptcy, I went in to make a payment and we were told that the building manager was going to be in contact. They said they were going to have new management but everything is in limbo and living in Utah there’s sooooo many restrictions with 95% of event venues. I can’t even begin to imagine being SOL and trying to find another venue in such a short amount of time I’ve put it out into the universe that everything is fine and that we’ll have our fun amazing reception there.

Yeah it’s Noah’s. I had heard of other states closing down but I hadn’t heard anything about the locations in Utah so I was kinda like thinking we’ll be fine. I’m hoping we’ll still be fine though

I do not think we have it in Florida but I am so sorry as many brides are affected by this and that is horrible. I am praying you all find another venue and are able to keep your wedding dates.

I am hoping that other locations can be more lenient. Would a hotel be an option or too much money.

Thank you, I’m hoping if we have to find another location that they help us out and are a bit more lenient.

I hate to say it, but I would start looking for another option ASAP. I read an article yesterday where their legal counsel made a statement. She said they have been ordered by a judge to cease all business... basically, they can’t operate anymore.

Is this Noah’s venue? My wedding is (was) May 1, 2020. At this point idk since I’m trying to find book with a new venue and I’ve yet to sign with another venue. I already paid the church for that date so..we’ll see. We’re in San Antonio, TX.

They didn’t even email or call us about it and they still haven’t..... we actually found out Friday night when we were googling for ways to break contract with Noahs venue due to lack of performance and bc we found out they filed for bankruptcy and closed a location in Houston area so we had a feeling we were next..... and we started to discuss breaking contract and I began to look for new venues just in case. Luckily I sent out emails and one got back to me with a availability for our day so I said let me reserve it for 30 days just in case. Little did we know our gut feeling was right and the next day it’s all over google that they shut down for good and are yet to let customers know.
Anyway I’m assuming it’s Noah’s venue you’re talking about. I hope it works out for us and we book a new venue. It’s still sad that we paid for the venue so that’s money we lost.

Look for a learning facility as they already have a stream of income. Think butterfly pavilion, etc. Good luck

Yes it’s Noah’s! 😭 The people I talked to yesterday said their current manager will be contacting everyone Monday and Tuesday this week to give us more info but who knows. Now that it finally broke into our local news it’s definitely real, idk what’s more upsetting that they kept taking payments or the fact that they knew but still continues to book events. Now having to start all over is beyond infuriating. The comments on the news article that was put out tonight people were saying to try to get our money back through the courts, granted it’ll take forever to get it buy idk in my opinion if someone stole my good hard earned money I want that back.

If you are in the Houston area, I would look into Lux Vita! It is a new venue and sure to have your date availabel!

I just want to say thank you all for your kind words during this ridiculously hectic few days, so many venues have stepped up to help ❤️
We have found two possible ones, just waiting to get proposals from them so we can look over their polices and such so we can make a decision. 😊
