Venue design issues

Venue design issues 1
Hello there! I need help with my venue! It’s a community building straight out of 1980s and home to a couple square dancing clubs. My biggest problem is there is set pew like bench seating on both sides of the open floor which is non removable with burgundy velvet seats also non movable. I thought about draping curtains down but don’t want anyone to hurt themselves with the seating sticking out. I could use them as seating for my reception tables as booth-like seating but idk if that would be weird.
My vibe is fairylike and floral l, well what I want it to be. We can hang from the walls and ceiling.

I would use the benches as seating. With the tables in front and linen/tableclothes, you most likely won't see the colors of the benches.

Maybe you could place angled banners along the sides of the room, especially toward the front of the room so that people would not be walking directly alongside the benches. Another similar idea is to place some potted trees along the benches so people would not normally walk into the benches. Are you using the full room or will you add partitions to corral people to the populated and decorated area?
