Is it that you don't *want* to have the wedding out there or just that you wonder about the logistics?

If you don't want to have the wedding on his family's land, then the two of you need to sit down and talk about your vision.

If you're concerned about logistics, you should do a bit of research into vendors who will deliver to the property.

If it's a money issue, then you should start looking at how much rentals will cost you. Remember that having your wedding somewhere other than a venue means renting *everything.* This includes: chairs, tables, toilets (port o lets or a trailer), a tent for rain, a dance floor, etc. Just because the actual location is free doesn't mean you're saving any money.

^^^ seriously, renting chairs is so expensive. Not to mention tables and decor and tents and everything else! Definitely have a sit down with your fiancé and lay everything out cost wise. Having a good budgeting conversation will help you both.


Also, there are beautiful venues that can be affordable! I thought like your fiancé did but you CAN find something affordable. Some venues offer weekdays or Sundays for a decent discount!
