Venue change- how i do let guests know & wording

I'd just be honest! I can't imagine guests would judge you for it, and they'll probably be very understanding since this was complteley out of your control!

Send out a postcard to save money! It's a really small inconvenience, so I wouldn't worry about it! Stick a funny picture of yourself and your fiance on there from your engagement photos and overlay some words explaining the change. Everyone will think it's cute, and it'll be memorable enough so people won't forget

Hi Ellen! I'm so glad you've already found a new venue that you're even more happy with! Agreeing with Amy, just being honest with your guests of the location change is your best option. They shouldn't mind or question it. Is your new venue in the same city/area as the previous one?

A similar card stating that due to unexpected circumstances with your original venue, you and your fiancé(e) have had to make some changes to your wedding location. Something to the effect of how your wedding will now be taking place at {include the name} located at {new address} on {restate the wedding date}. You could announce this location change online via your wedding website or another alternative, too.

The bride and groom have been informed that their reception venue, BLAH BLAH BLAH, has permanently closed it’s doors. The reception celebration has since been relocated to BLAH BLAH BLAH.
