The venue I love so far is within budget and allows outside alcohol is an hour away. If you were a guest, would you be put off driving an hour? There are other venues in our area but for double the price, and they either don't allow alcohol (champagne toast only) or only for a set amount of time (4...

The venue I love so far is within budget and allows outside alcohol is an hour away. If you were a guest, would you be put off driving an hour? There are other venues in our area but for double the price, and they either don't allow alcohol (champagne toast only) or only for a set amount of time (4 hours). I personally don't think an hour is to far, anyone else?

    As long as the ceremony and reception are close to each other, an hour wouldn't bother me whatsoever. Agree with PPs, block off some hotel rooms close by!

    I don't think an hour is bad at all- i would def get block some rooms at a hotel near by in case people want to stay over.

    Thanks ladies, the ceremony and reception will be at the same location. It's even a heated barn, which will come in handy in November. I planned on looking into hotels, FH's family are drinkers and like to party. I worry about someone drinking and driving.

    Ours will be almost a hour for some and the other half are driving 6 hours from another state
